Originally from Los Angeles, California, Monica is a native English speaker with a Master's degree in Public Administration and a Bachelor's degree in Sociology with an emphasis in Social Welfare from California State University. Throughout her professional career, she has worked for federal and county government agencies as well as nonprofit organizations while simultaneously providing individualized ESL instruction to students from diverse backgrounds.
Monica has successfully coached professionals in industries including IT, Engineering, Education, Pharmaceuticals, Marketing, and Salesforce, helping them improve their business communication, prepare for presentations and interviews, and achieve greater confidence in the workplace. She has also guided students in preparing for the TOEFL exam, enabling them to gain admission to universities of their choice.
Now based in Florianópolis, Brazil, Monica offers both in-person lessons for students in the area and online classes for learners around the world. This flexibility allows her to provide high-quality, personalized English instruction regardless of location.

My name is Ruchi, and I am originally from India. I am an experienced English teacher with native-like English proficiency, a postgraduate degree in English, and a TESOL certification.
Over the years, I have taught English as a Second Language (ESL) in both Canada and Brazil, working with students from a wide range of cultural and professional backgrounds. A little about my interests and experience...
I graduated in 1994 with a BA in Contemporary Music from the University of Southern Cross in Australia.
During the 90's I worked as a composer for TV, as well as a, being a bassist in several bands. After meeting a Brazilian lady whilst traveling, I found myself living in Campinas from 2000-2002 where I taught English for several schools including The Clinic of English and Expressão before returning to Australia.
In 2012, I returned to Brazil where I taught English for Pret-a-Parler in Campinas.
I have been living and teaching in São Paulo now for four years now. I really enjoy the Brazilian culture, its food and especially the people.

Hello, my name is Lissy and I was born in Mumbai, India on 8th April 1967. I am an energetic and goal-focused education professional with solid qualifications in English Language Teaching. I am certified in TESOL with a specialization in teaching Business English from American TESOL Institute. I have a track record of consistently improving the student’s specific needs and helping them use practical application of their newly learned language skills. It’s my passion to create a difference in my student’s life by going the extra mile to make them feel comfortable, fluent, and ready for the working world.
I am a graduate of Mumbai University with a major in Economics. I also have a Post-Graduate Diploma in computer science from the Datapro Institute of Technology in 1990. I was weaned as a software developer on various implementations of Microsoft BASIC and COBOL in the ’90s. I consider myself a reasonably experienced software developer with a particular interest in the human side of software development like managing people.
Before making a lateral move in Human Resources, I gained experience working in support functions like Administration, Accounts, Logistics, Sales, and Training with mid-sized companies. I earned MBA in Human Resources in 2010 from the National Institute of Management while working as General Manager-HR in a Private Limited Company. Before joining this company, I had over 6 years of experience working in a generalist role as an HR Manager at small to mid-sized privately held companies. In this role, I managed payroll and compensation, staffing and selection, implemented various HR-related programs, and developed training when appropriate. I was especially appreciated for working strategically within the business unit to help them meet their goals and objectives.
